Assistant Surgeon General of Warrior Care and Transition and Commander of the Warrior Transition Command, Brigadier General Gary H. Cheek (U.S. Army) visited CDS on November 19th to explore the capabilities of supporting wounded warriors needs at CDS’ Wolf Life Transitions Center in Webster, N.Y.

CDS’ Wolf Life Transitions Center has the capabilities, resources and infrastructure to assist wounded warriors upon their return from war.  The Wolf Life Transitions Center features a 20,000 square-foot industrial work center and restaurant to help people with vocational training while earning a paycheck.  The facility has a variety of clinical support areas including a therapeutic aquatics and fitness center, fully-accessible apartment to help with independent living assessments, a bank as well as a creative arts, media, music, dance, movement and gardening centers to help people gain the skills necessary to become more independent in the community.

The Warrior Transition Command provides strategic direction, develops, integrates, synchronizes, and assesses plans, policy, capabilities, and resources for warrior care initiatives and programs dedicated to the support, care, and healing of wounded, ill and injured Soldiers, their Families and caregivers.

CDS is excited about future opportunities with the U.S. Army.
