CDS Recreation Program Wins State Award

CDS' Children with Autism Recreation Program, in partnership with SUNY Brockport, won a state-wide award recently. The Outstanding Recreation Program of the Year was awarded to CDS last month at the annual New York State Recreation & Parks Society Conference. The award will be on display in the multi-sensory room at Brockport Middle School. CSD' program has been in existence for three years and now has 36 children in the program, ages six and up. 120 Brockporty students participate in the program each semester. The group meets at SUNY Brockport twelve Saturdays per year from 1:00-3:30pm. Please contact Eve Sutliff for more information at (585) 341-4626.
