We are very excited to share with you that the construction continues on the new CDS Life Transitions Center in Webster, with the generous support of NYS Office of Mental Retardation and Developmental Disabilities (OMRDD), The B. Thomas Golisano Foundation, Daisy Marquis Jones Foundation, Corning Foundation, Excellus Blue Cross Blue Shield, Wegmans, Citizens Bank, and individual donations including those from our employees, CDS is forging new territory in how individuals with developmental disabilities are supported, with a strong emphasis on choice and transitioning.
CDS' vision for Transitions Services is to address the needs of the 18 – 21 year old high school students with developmental disabilities, who are aging out of the public school system, as well as to support the life transitions of all OMRDD eligible individuals with developmental disabilities. The program collaborates with the individual, their family, school districts, and other agencies to support the pursuit of each individual's dreams.

- A Gardening Skill Development Program

Secondly, we continue our commitment to offering community support for individuals and children with autism. We are continually seeking new and innovative ways to support families and individuals coping with autism spectrum disorders which includes a parent support and education group, an autism skill building program, an autism recreation program and a residence devoted to individuals living with autism.
